Liebermann's Bakery; Massillon has a sweet history!
Throughout our long history of adventures in Tigertown; we as Massillonians have always embraced the finer things in life. More specifically; a good donut! There was nothing better than a Johnnies cream stick after church on Sunday morning. Unless; ofcourse; you prefer the iced donuts and the crullers at Welch's Bakery. Let us not forget the sweet delights from Doerflingers, or perhaps Maier's Bakery Shop. Oh yeah; what about Kremples on the west side? Kremples continued to serve our west side families when 'Don Marchand the Bakery Man' ran it as The Brookfield Bake Shop.
Over the years; all of these wonderful family bakers slowly fell away to become a part of Massillon's museum of delightful pleasures; except one. Today; Massillon's last family bakery still thrives; and it does so to the delight of residents near and far.
We are proud to embrace our very own Liebermann's Bakery. As the last generation of Liebermann's roll out those delicious delights; we must salute their endless commitment and love of their vocation. We Massillonians will always embrace Liebermann's and the other family bakers from a history that created sweet memories and expanded waistlines.
